She was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes and already then knew that low carb is good for that, as she had a friend who managed gestational diabetes with low carb. She went complete cold turkey; no pasta, no rice, no bread, no potatoes, not even starchy vegetables, and had a few weeks of keto flu. Now her energy levels are just amazing and she feels this way of eating really suits her – she likes simple food.

Well I probably had a few weeks. Now the energy levels are just amazing. It’s like I can’t sit still. It’s really difficult just to sit inside and not go out and do something.
